Sunday 19th April
Well here we go again and a very pleasent day was had, with it being Sunday and all that. The day started with the alarm going off at 0530hrs and after getting motivated was up and showered, ready to go out to open Central Hall ready for the worship band to arrive from 0800hrs. At 0730hrs I'm opening up and then starting to set up the things for the visuals for the service. With songs, video clip and powerpoint presentations the service is going to be a busy one from the visuals point of view. But God is good and the whole of the morning meeting ran smoothly with a guest speaker from Chichester bringing the start of a series of messages that was very encouraging for those listening. After the meeting finished I had to sort out things with the leader of the Big Red Bus Project and so picked up the driving job for Tuesday evenings trip out for the youth work onboard.
Once I departed home it was sort out something to eat and then load the washing machine and tumble drier a couple of times to clear all my dirty washing away and then the rest of the day was sit, watch tv or video and veg out and relax. Sooner or later the sleep feeling catches up on me and I depart to bed. So on my first entry since returning to the daily blog it's Good Night & God Bless You.
Monday 20th April
What a day, three jobs to do and none of them completed. The day was expensive in diesel, having to go too and for from one place to another. and back. Task 1 was to get a passport form, get it filled in and sent off. After getting the form, getting photo's done and then going home and filling it out, take it to get it certified and realise after the form and photo's are certified that I came out without my birth certificate so have to go home and get that. After getting to the Post Office and getting to be seen at the counter, I'm told that due to ink getting on the second photo, that it's now not acceptable and I needed to fill in an additional form due to the previous passport being lost. So armed with the additional form it's back home to get the bits sorted out. During my trips to and from the Post Office I get a phone call to see if I wanted a paying job for the afternoon. This I accept and am soon on my way to pick up the company van and the instructions on what to do. So for a few hours I go and pick up materials for work the following day from around the locality and then take the van home. By the time I get home I have run out of time to get back to the Post Office and so leave the passport application until Saturday. So getting in at home it's sort out things to eat and finish the day watching tv before bed. So after a busy day it's Good Night & God Bless You.
Tuesday 21st April
Well it's now my first day of paid work for the week, a local job as well! A nice day in the sun trying to get a welder working properly to get the right quality of joint on the roofing. The day started off badly, as through the night someone put a dent in the side of the company van and so that incured the bosses displeasure and then the tower was late in arriving which didnt help. Eventually the tower arrived and we were soon loading our equipment onto the roof ready to make a start. Not long after this the welding machine arrived and we were soon gathered around learning how to use it. But once on the roof the machine decided to play up and for the rest of the day we could not get the welds to work right and eventually the machine gave up the ghost and failed completely. So that was the end of a very non productive day, but paid a days money. But that was not all the events of the day, the evening was out driving for the Big Red Bus Project and all went well with the evening, pleanty of kids, running my games console for them to play on and then back to the depot at the end of the day. But disaster struck on arrival back and about to go through the gate, the engine cut out, but struggled to start again. When it did restart and went into gear, it cut out again and did exactly the same thing on restarting it. Due to the gateway to the yard being on a slight rise, I thought we were almost out of diesel and so got clear of blocking the road and waited for the boss to come back. After a while blocking the road we manage to struggle into the yard and get it parked up, with the decision that it's not being taken out again. Eventually I get home and it's straight to bed. Good Night & God Bless You!
Wednesday 22nd April
A day with no paid work but time for getting things done before an evening of stewarding at church. The day started with a trip into the city to get my pasport finalised. Even on getting to the counter I find I have to redo the additional form as I had smudged two of the boxes. Eventually I get to walk out the post office with the application completed. The rst of the day was to be spent working on the Big Red Bus project. Many jobs were completed in the four hours I was there and then it was home for a quick change and off to Central Hall for an evening stewarding at a healing and inpartation conference being hosted by New Community Church. The evening was hot and hectic but with a full house of deligates and guests and had interesting speakers who shared in many healings among the deligates. At 2200hrs it's time to get off home and soon I'm in bed ready for at least a mornings work tomorrow. So in the end it's Good Night & God Bless You.
Thursday 23rd April
Today was a very anoying day and less said about it the better. The morning was a trip to Basingstoke to replace some blocks in the carpark where a tub of bitumin had been spilt. When we got there it seemed to be a straight forward job, but it's the straight forward ones that end up with problems. The problem surfaced when we'd got all the damaged blocks out and then found we had nine blocks the wrong size that equated to twenty seven standard blocks that we were short for the job. So what do you do when you've got a big hole in the blocks of the carpark and no blocks to fill it with? Well you salvage the slight damaged ones and clean the sopts of bitumin off and hope that being mixed with the new ones they wont be seen. This seems to be a cure but we are still three short, so it's off switching blocks on the perimiter of the carpark where the dodgy ones wont be so obvious. Once thats done it's off back to base and a possible early finish. But on arrival I get ordered into doing jobs I was not really happy doing but being within the operational day I have to do them to get my full days pay ( nothing like being held to ransom). Eventually I get finished and am soon on my way home to get changed and off to Central Hall to steward at the Conference.
The Conference having been running all day is in full swing and on arrival I take responsibility of checking and emptying all the bins in the building and then helping clear tables in the coffee shop. This goes on for the duration with a clearing of cups and rubbish in the main hall at the break. In between times there is a chance to listen to the speaker who has been good each night so far with many healings during each day. At about 2345hrs I get home and am straight in bed and soon asleep. So it's Good Night & God Bless You
Friday 24th April
It gets very anoying when you get the whole day written up and then you cant save it or r
estore what you'd just written after same crash. Well the day of work was pretty good with four of us at the synchatron site to cure a difficult to access leak. With myself and the boss on the roof and the other two working from a walkway for window cleaners we soon have the two cappings off so we can locate and cure the leak in the gutter. This didnt take long as a joint had not been welded and so the rain water would go in over the top of the joint and go through and into the building. Once exposed the weld and repairs were pretty easy to do and we were soon ready to replace the cappings. But a nice easy job proved to be harder than expected as they were fighting against going back where they needed to go. But with a fight for a few minutes they lost and ended up where they should be and we were soon packing up ready to vacate the work site. All the tools are sent down via the window cleaners walkway and so we clear the roof as safely as we could. After a walk across the roof it's not long before we're loading the van with the tools and equipment and we're soon ready to go. I depart first with the van under orders to empty the contents out on return. After about an hour and a half drive I'm back at b
ase and start offloading the equipment thinking the others would arrive any minute and assist, but to no avail, so I empty it all by myself, (!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......) But soon I'm off home for a quick change and then down to Central Hall and another evening of stewarding at the conference. My evening is spent clearing bins of rubbish, picking up rubbish in the main auditorium during the break and clear tables in the coffee shop. This was my evenings activity, but I still had time to enjoy the conference speakers. Eventually the session finished and as people started moving out I was able to move in and collect up any fresh rubbish. Once the worst was over I had to call it a day, as I was to spend the morning working on the red bus project and get some more done on the new vehicle, it's the last day of the conference tomorrow and I'm sure will be a blessing as the whole conference has been. Once I get home it's straight to bed with an eight o'clock start tomorrow, so it's Good Night & God Bless You.

rn home for a period of relaxing and getting into the omnibus editions of Neibours and Home and Away. After these I get ready and go off to Central Hall for the last evening of stewarding and the last day of the Healing Conference. On arrival I drop straight into rubbish clearance and only find the need to do that during the break around the main auditorium. During the evening the speaker is very good and amusing to listen to and many deligates are blessed by what's said. The worship was an unusual time when it was a time to worship with percussion as well as voices. God is so good and during the days of the conference many healings took place. At the end of the evening it's clear all the rubbish as the deligates clear the seats but due to me needing to open the building in the morning, I leave the clearing up at 2300hrs and get home to bed. So falling into bed on arrival at home I'm soon dozing off, so it's Good Night & God Bless You.
