Week 5 for more >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

WSunday 8th February
Well it was a day fairly busy at church with opening up the building for 0800hrs and a morning supervising a learner on the visuals, the equipment you can see shown on the left and a very enjoyable session of teach yourself lighting as there was no one around who knew how to switch the system on and then how the desk, that's depicted on the right was layed out in respect of where each bank of lights was positioned in the building. All this information was gleaned in time for the start of the meeting and so it went without a hitch. The talk was given by a lady who is working with us after being loaned to us from another church, one that we work closely with from around the city, who spoke about the Valley of dry bones (Ezekiel ch 37) and spoke prophetically to the church about being part of Gods army. After church it was home and then F.B.TV (food, bed Television) until 1700hrs and time to go out to church again for the evening meeting. The worship time was led by our main worship team coordinator and a two piece band, who made the visuals presenter jump around the chosen songs like a yo yo. But the worship was good and fitted well with the word, a repeat of the morning. and the meeting actually finished early and so I got to lock the building up earlier than anticipated.
As 2000hrs comes round I remember I have a phone call to make and stop closing up to make it. On ringing the number I didnt get any response and so try for 10 minutes or more without success before giving up,a little disappointed not to have my chat with my little family member. So again on arrival home it's hot drink and bed, settling down to sleep at 2200hrs. So its Good Night & God Bless You......................

Monday 9th February
Monday, a day of pouring rain, where work had to be done to keep the cashflow going. The job I had was one similar to what I had to do for my boss a week before. I had to strip back a stone driveway, lay a plastic laticework and then fill the caverties with the stones again. The idea of this was to stop the stones from drifting off the driveway and all over the footpath. Also the laticework stopped the stones from squashing into the ground and getting dips in the driveway. The job was relatively easy and it was just after lunch that I completed stage one, clearing the stones back and laying the laticework with the prospects of needing more stone to fill up the rest of the cavities . It was then time to go out shopping and after a trip to Travis Perkins in Eastleigh to get some bags of 20mm pea shingle and then head back and get it laid out. Once that was done I'm soaking wet and need to get home and get dried off. Having to deliver the van back to Upham before heading home I start to feel cold even with the heating on in the car. On arrival home I decide that I'd break a record by putting on my central heating and on doing my usual of F.B.TV.Sleeeeeeeeeeep putting my wet gear on the radiators to dry when they heat up and ensuring the time switch is on before settling down. So it's Good Night & God Bless You.....

Tuesday 10th February
A day of preparation, getting ready for a trip to Milton Keynes via Grantham and Bedford. After a lay in until almost lunch time it's off to Central Hall to see Steve and collect some money and have a chat over a drink in the coffee shop before the start of the work up at the farm, sorting the school aid equipment into the landrover, getting the trailer ready to go on it's last trip to Grantham. Once the landrover is full it's off to top it up with diesel and checking the tyres are the correct and then off home ready to go out after a short time. The trip out was to spend the evening on the Mansbridge estate with the Red Bus. An enjoyable evening was spent with the kids on the estate and the it was back to base with the bus and then back home for F.B.TV.S. So as we always say to each other Good Night & God Bless You ...........

Wednesday 11th February
Well the day started very sedately getting out to the farm for 0830hrs and ready to leave on the marathon trip to Grantham with the old school aid trailer and all the equipment. Due to the need to check tyre pressures it's call in at Winchester Service Area and make use of the air line and so when pressures were checked and inflated accordingly it's quickly back on the road and off to the north. On getting towards the top of the M3 motorwayits time for a loo break in Fleet Services and then onto the motorway for the rest of the journey. When I'm following the ssat nav it takes me an amusing route, Up the M1 then onto the A422 and then onto the A1(M) for the rest of the trip. I was quite dissapointed that the old street lights had gone at the start of the M1 but as you can see from the picture on the left the junction is now a very high speed one and is definately user friendly. On the way up to Grantham the roads had a great mass of snow missing and were bone dry and the only signs of snow were in the fields adjacent to the roads. On getting onto the A1(M) I see that there's only 57 miles to go and does not take long to complete. After a difficult turn across the A1(M) I see the yard close by and am soon pulling into the yard driving across the first lot of settled uncleared snow. On dropping the trailer and signing the deposite form, its off to Bedford via an eatery and some food. The trip back into Bedford is uneventful until I have difficulty finding the Travelodge, and I end up going almost to Milton Keynes before I find another branch to get directions and go back the way I'd come and find the correct Travelodge and about half an hour later I'm settled in talking to my second best mate on the phone. Then it's make a cup of tea and settle down for the night and sleeeeep. Good Night & God Bless You .........................

Thursday 12th February
A start that was slow at getting started but once I was up and going it was fight my way through the centre of Bedford heading towards Milton Keynes. Eventually I get to Milton Keynes and find the World Vision on the second attempt. I'm soon parked up and find my way into the building. On meeting up with Naomi I fill her in on how things have been going with Miracle Street and what we're planning for the coming season in Europe. After the tea and chat its a taxi trip to the station and into London Euston terminus and tube over to Waterloo. On sorting out the train I need I find the one that stops at Eastleigh where I'm being picked up to go and pick up my car before getting home. The train is one for Portsmouth Harbour and goes via Basingstoke. Eventually I get to Eastleigh and meet up with Jono and I'm soon at the farm getting the car sorted out and then I'm off home. On getting there it's heating on food prepared and then B &TV for a while, ready to sleep for a while before getting up for work which ends up lasting all day, making it two days out of five working for Jireh Construction and two days working for Miracle Street and one day for myself. so Good Night & God Bless You > > > > > > >

Friday 13th February
Friday 13th if you are supersticious not a good day to start with if you believe that sort of thing, which I dont so it does'nt matter. The theory was good but the nice half day of graft turned into a full day. The day started with the completion of the plastic laticwork driveway with the stone fill in. The job was mainly diging the old grass out deep enough to take the laticework and ready for the stones. Having to try and level it up with a manhole cover it was basically a job in two parts. The larger part was stripped from the front to the manhole and worked well, the other part was dug out too deep and took a lot more stones to fill in. After two trips to the builders merchants for stones I had just enough to complete the job, this was done at about 1330hrs and then I was off to do some jobs on the van, which were longer than anticipated and involved a trip to Bitterrne shops and then off to Shirley to get a key cut for the company van and Shirley was the nearest locksmiths that had some blanks with the correct chip in it. Once that was done it was off to Flintstone Tyres to get a repacement tyre for one of the inner ones in the back. Fortunately there was one available and so that was purchased and then I headed back to drop off the van and collect the car. On the way I had to stop off at Halfords and get a replacement headlight bulb and put it in. That was quickly done and then it was off back to Uppham and I'm soon arriving and parking up. On exchanging some reciepts for cash I'm off home via the chip shop and get myself a jumbo sausage and chips with a fishcake to go with it. On arrival home to a nice warm flat I get into bed, having munched all the food on the way home in time to see my soaps on TV and then settle down to computer work, ie getting some of this blog written up before I forget what I did throughout the week. so as I settle down to sleep for the night it's Good Night and God Bless You .................

Saturday 14th February
Well I started the day with the same financial worries that I've had since before Christmas and by the end of the day it was sorted out that I would have the funds again by Monday evening to pay off the outstanding debt. The situation for those who dont know is that in the latter part of last year I had a message from my Landlord asking if I'd been paying the council tax on the flat I'm in. I thinking that he was paying it didnt bother and he, thinking I was hadnt done so. In the light of no council tax being paid the council sent him a letter and so I had the message that kicked me into action and sort out the council. After filling in a form and attending the council offices I get a letter from the council asking for two payments of £258.00 in February and March, not a very nice addition to my regular bills and I see no way out of the problem of no money to pay it off as I can see. But God is good and supplies my needs and so laying in bed this morning I finally get my online banking sorted out for my Abbey National account and on reviewing my statement I cannot see where the rent didnt get paid and so I needed to check out with my Landlord if I'd paid him twice. Later in the day I find a need to contact him on another matter and I find on contacting him that he volunteers the same information and we arrange a refund for Monday evening. What a relief and so I can look forward to enjoying the fruit of Gods goodness by not having any debt hanging over me for the future. The rest of the day was spent in relaxing and cleaning up problems on my laptop, which proved to be long and problematicaland not curable before sleepiness set in. So I'll have to see what happens tomorrow morning and possibly reload some software and see if it cures the problems. So it's time to sleep so Good Night & God Bless You ......
