The Last Part of the Miracle Street Germany Tour 2009

Well this is how the rig looked in the shopping centre in Stutgaart and after one day without much action, and a trip to breakfast and a shower, we have a chillout time until lunch time, when we start setting up the stage ready for the event start at 1600hrs (euro time). Things all fall into place, and we're all ready as soon as the band arrived and set up. When the start time comes round it is looking like there's not going to be many out in front of the stage and disapointment is looming. But things still go on with the band playing for the first session and then Wereners young evengelist soon is on stage spreading the word to a very illusive audience. With Steve doing the Guiloteen illusion it's still not very many out front, so it's decided to call it a day earlier and we're soon packing up ready to get on the road back to Dunkirk. Unfortunately due to the Sunday driving laws we were stuck in place until 2200hrs (euro time) when we were able to get going. So off we go, having found the route out of town that didnt have any low bridges on it and we're soon on the motorway and heading for Belgium. But soon the road gets too much and four hours into the trip we pull up and get some sleep getting going again at 0500hrs (euro time) on the Monnday. The aim was to get to the ferry terminal before Tims Tacho hours ran out for the day. So with almost nonstop driving we manage to get to Dunkirk and park up just by the skin of our teeth, and so the rig could not move for about eight hours, just enough time to allow for getting onto the ferry before it was due to leave. So with that amount of time it was a question of what to do with that time? The answer was to go and find a supermarket for spending money in, getting food to eat along with drinks and then just somewhere to relax for a while. Achen store was the answer which was just outside Dunkirk and so it was where we spent quite a bit of time, and then back to the ferry and time to chill out on the stage until it was time to go and book in on the ferry. This took quite a while and we were soon in the que ready to board. Norfolk Line is the only ferry company I know that books the traffic in and has it lined up before ever the ship docks. Even with the wait it was soon docked, offloaded, loaded an on it's way exactly on time. On arrival back in the UK we rondevou at the first service area on the M20 and so I decide to head off on my own to get home. But things didnt go well and I start wandering over the road and have to stop at all the Service Areas on the way to wake myself up and then get going again. This held me back and by the time I got into the farm yard to swap vehicles, the rig was not far behind and arrived just as I'd finished clearing the car of my personal effects. But once the rig was parked up it was head quickly for home. On arrival I fall into bed and am asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. What a great ten days and we thank God for safe traveling and no low bridges to contend with. Thank you readers for your prayers during the trip and the other trip we have this year is to Amsterdam in September and again we will travel on the days either side of the wo day event in Dam Square right at the heart of the City. Again we will be working with the Summer 2 Go Team as well as the local churches. But for now this is the end of the great first trip to Mainland Europe for Miracle Street and I will post on Face Book the exact dates of the Amsterdam Event when I know. So for now it's TTFN (Ta Ta for now) and God Bless You All.
